I have tried the Ubuntu distribution today and I think it's even better then the Fedora Core. I do expect to encounter some problems because I have got my hands full last time when I was setting up Fedora Core 3 on my laptop. So, you could imagine my surprise when I found out that I don't need to fix anything. As a Linux power user, I could overcome most of the compatibility issues. However, I don't even get the chance to prove my ability this time. Everything works perfectly right out of the box.
This probably will be my shifting point from the RedHat/Fedora system to the Debian/Ubuntu system. It's arguably the best Linux distribution available.
Anyway, I still have to setup one more Linux machine and this time it's going to be a server. I'm planning on installing the Debian 'sarge' on it and I hope it will be just as easy as Ubuntu.
